Essential Oils

Have I ever mentioned how much I love essential oils?
Probably not. Because I almost never update my blog! Yeah, I'm lazy like that.
Anyway, I really love essential oils.
I'm 22 year old a dance teacher trying to dance like a 16 year old. I am reminded on a daily basis that my muscles don't like me but! I have essential oils! I love them so much, I'm a distributor for Young Living.

Today's blog post focus:

Clove Essential Oil

Most essential oil users will mention Peppermint as their favorite essential oil. Not me. Granted, I like peppermint and all, but Clove is definitely my favorite. I go through a 15 mil bottle on a monthly basis and my reason is that it really helps the muscle pain.
I have muscles in my lower back that hate arabesques.
Showing here:

Clove oil helps a lot. It works as a pain reliever. Not an anti-inflamatory, mind you, I have peppermint, ortho-sport, peace and calming, lavender and eucalyptus blue for that which I mix together with the clove, but the Clove oil is essential (Pun intended). It works better than Icy-Hot! First it gets really hot and stays hot for several minutes (That's the clove oil) and then it starts to cool. I actually have to get a blanket usually (that's mostly the peppermint). The next morning I feel better...that is until I practice my arabesques again...

Clove oil is great for mouth sores! It's pretty spicy, but if you can stand that, say goodbye to mouth pain. I wish I'd had this stuff 4 years ago when they took out my wisdom teeth!

Last but not least, Clove oil is really great on bug bites! My Oma (paternal grandmother) has a horrible problem with bug bites. She does a lot of gardening and well, creepy crawlies don't like having their cozy little dirt homes destroyed. Oma's worst issue, though, is that the conventional bug bite relievers such as benadryl cream and other such things found in your local grocery store don't work on her. They provide absolutely no relief. Clove oil, on the other hand, works so well she bought a bottle from me on the spot.
I myself have been using it for mosquito bites, and I've tried it on my little sister's numerous little red bumps as well with lots of success.

So, in conclusion, if you've just recently heard about Essential oils, and are wondering which one to try first, try Clove.
