A little story

The Great Battle

Amy, Princess of the Fehrenbach Kingdom, had recently been spending the week recovering from the previous Monday’s Wisdom Teeth Removal Act and by the following Friday was starting to feel a bit better. This was good news to Princess Amy’s dear, tired mother since an invitation had come that Friday morning, inviting Princess Amy’s mother, Queen Teresa, to Tammy Queen of the Smith’s dominion for an evening get together with friends. At first, Queen Teresa was reluctant to leave the Fehrenbach Kingdom in the hands of Princess Amy on the basis of the fact that Princess Amy was still recovering. Princess Amy insisted, however, that she go and so Queen Teresa gladly conveyed her appreciation of the invitation as well as her intention of attending during that afternoon’s Co-op classes which were held in the happy and rather spacious kingdom of Warrens. Now Princess Amy had been feeling quite well that day and had decided to join in on the invigorating games of Co-op which afterwards left her feeling winded, but otherwise quite refreshed. After Co-op, Queen Teresa, Princess Amy, Crowned Prince Collin, Prince Timothy and Princess Amanda, all got into the royal (and slightly well used) carriage and went back to the Fehrenbach Castle for a short respite and the evening meal. Before the evening meal, Queen Teresa went to her quarters to prepare for the coming evening by taking a nap; for naturally, as all authentic queens know, a nap is always and essential element in preparing for an evening get together. Princess Amy too took a small nap, mostly due to the fact that little Princess Amanda had fallen asleep on her, so she was still feeling quite well. Little did she know that two shadows lay in wait near-by.
Dr. Painthrob and Mr. Exaustion had been hired by Princess Amy’s banished wisdom teeth to cause as much trouble and possible. These two agents of evil loved their jobs and lay in wait just outside the castle looking for an opportunity to strike. They hadn’t been having much luck that day, Princess Amy’s constant and loyal body-guard, Sir Ibuprofen, had kept a watchful guard the entire day. Tonight promised to be different however as Princess Amy had decided to try switching to Sir Tylenol instead. Dr. Painthrob and Mr. Exaustion were hoping that during the switch, they would have a chance to attack.
Just after the evening meal, the opportunity came. Sir Ibuprofen was beginning to fade and Sir Tylenol had not yet clocked in. Dr. Painthrob watched as Princess Amy saw her mother out the door and then said, "The mother’s gone, sack her!"
Rushing in to the house the evil doers rushed Sir Ibuprofen as he vainly fought to keep them away from his charge.
Not yet feeling the effects of the attack, Princess Amy told the two Princes that it was time for them to do the dishes as it was their daily chore.
The Princes began to protest just as Dr. Painthrob delivered a fatal blow to Sir Ibuprofen and then moved on to Princess Amy.
"Oh, boy," Princess Amy murmured to herself. No, she thought, I can’t let this effect me. And taking a deep breath, Princess Amy pushed on. Her thundering voice landed like a clap of thunder on the Princes’ ears, "I don’t care what Prince Timothy is doing, get the dishes done, NOW! Prince Timothy! You left the table a full ten minutes ago, so don’t bother trying to tell me that you are still hungry. Pick your lazy butt up off of that chair and go help your brother!"
"Aw man," Prince Collin groaned, "If Prince Timothy has to carry his butt then he won’t be able to hold the dishes!"
Thus went the next half-hour. Princess Amy cracked the proverbial whip over the Princes, Princess Amanda surprisingly yet providentially still sleeping upstairs and Dr. Painthrob and Mr. Exaustion pounding away at Princess Amy’s skull.
When the half-hour was up, Princess Amy had managed to put the boys to bed early (because of their bad behavior) and was finally able to sit down.
Dr. Painthrob saw this as a fantastic opportunity and said, "This is wonderful, you sit on this arm rest and I’ll sit on this one and we’ll play a beat that’ll make her head explode."
But just as the two had gotten into their positions, Sir Tylenol came rushing in, "Sorry I’m late your majesty," he said, "Sinus Road was packed." And with that, he picked up Dr. Painthrob and Mr. Exaustion and threw them out the door.
The End
side note: This is not an acurate account of the way my evening went. I just thought it would make for a cute little story. I should also note that I did try to formate the paragraphs correctly but it seems that blogger doesn't comprehend the necessity of tabs.
